How to Create Flashcard Blogs: The Publishing Workflow

February 2, 2026By Flashforge Team

Turning Decks into Content

At FlashcardForge, we believe the best educational content comes from structured knowledge. That's why we've built a system that lets you transform your Flashcard Decks into public Blogs and Articles.

This process allows you to share your expertise, gain reputation, and even monetize your content on the Exchange.

The Workflow

The process is simple but rigorous. We maintain high standards for public content.

1. Create a High-Quality Deck

First, build your deck. Ensure it has:

  • A clear, descriptive title.
  • At least 10 cards.
  • Accurate, verified information.
  • Proper use of the GenTag system for structure.

2. Enter Marketing & SEO Details

Navigate to your Dashboard and click Edit on your deck. Select the Publishing & SEO tab.

You must fill out:

  • Short Description: A catchy summary for search results (max 160 chars).
  • Long Description: This is your Blog Post.
    • Use this space to write a comprehensive guide or article about the subject.
    • Explain why this deck matters.
    • Provide context, study tips, or a deep dive into the topic.
    • Markdown is fully supported here!

3. Submit for Review

Once your deck and descriptions are ready, click Submit for Review.

Your deck will enter our Moderation Queue.

  • Status: PENDING_REVIEW: Our team (or trusted community moderators) will review your submission.
  • Criteria: We check for accuracy, formatting, safety, and content quality.

4. Approval & Publication

If approved:

  • Your deck status changes to PUBLISHED.
  • It appears in the Flashcard Exchange.
  • Your "Long Description" becomes the Article Body on the public deck page.

Tips for Approval

  • Be Original: Do not copy-paste content from other sites.
  • Be Thorough: One-sentence descriptions will be rejected.
  • Think "Article": Write your Long Description as if it were a standalone blog post. The cards are the tool, but the description is the lesson.

Trusted Authors

Users who consistently publish high-quality content (5+ approved decks) with high Security Scores (80+) will eventually gain Auto-Publish privileges, bypassing the queue for instant updates.
